Mandatory continuing education for professionals
The budget 2011 bis, finally approved on 14/09/2011, brings many new features for freelancers.
In this article we focus on one of the main novelties: continuing education.
Title II of the maneuver (Liberalization, privatization and other measures to encourage the development), Article 3, fifth subparagraph, point (b) establishes an obligation for all professionals to follow continuous training courses permanent. The principle will be implemented through the reform of professional within 12 months from the date of entry into force of the decree.
b) provision for the professional obligation to follow continuous training courses permanent prepared on the basis of special regulations issued by the national councils, except as provided by law in the field of continuing medical education (CME). Any violation of continuing education determines a disciplinary offense and as such is sanctioned on the basis of the established professional Ordinamento which complements this provision;

The theme of lifelong learning and quality is of fundamental importance to the conduct of a professional engineer.
Constant updating must accompany the working life of every professional. It among other things, allows you to make the most of their work, to meet the increasing demands of their customers, seize new opportunities that the market offers and more easily overcome periods of crisis.
Besides the above, as mentioned earlier, the new regulations also extend to technical professionals the obligation to follow continuous training courses.
At this point the question is not whether or not to follow a course, but rather that follow and how to extricate among the many offerings.
The market on the other hand offers an increasingly wide choice of educational opportunities. The quality of the paths, however, may be more or less good.
What we recommend is not to follow any course only to fulfill the obligations imposed by law. But actually choose a quality location that may prove to be a practical investment, in terms of increased skills and therefore business opportunities.
