What are the characteristics that differentiate a TV from a monitor?

The monitor has a screen, specially used to display images, as a fundamental component of a computer, but can also be used as a television set, whereas the color TV is a real television set, which receive the signal via tuner (which can be analog, digital, satellite, etc. ..), and can only be used as such.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN

The term usually indicates that device electronic monitor that allows the display of video images. The monitor is usually connected to a computer and acts as the output device, since it translates into images electrical signals, optical or electromagnetic, and may possibly be equipped with speakers for audio playback. The monitors run the signal through an RGB: stands for red, green and blue, the primary colors in the color mode that takes the name of "additive", since the combination of these colors is in another color whose Brightness is the sum of the brightness sources.

The monitor, with appropriate links, can also be used to watch TV, and in this way you lose a little 'for a resolution, but if you stay around 17-19 inches you have a pretty good picture quality. Despite the advent of HD TV technology with plasma, lcd or led generation, which led to a marked improvement in picture quality, they do not ever eguaglieranno the resolution and color depth and contrast of a good monitor.

The TV is one of the most used electronic devices in the home, which serves for the transmission of content consisting of moving images used as entertainment and fundamental for mass communication. Currently on the market there are different types of TV, which differ depending on the type of technologies that use:

- Projection TV, are the ones that still have the old "cathode ray tube" have within them a video projector, using a system of mirrors, projecting the image on the TV display. Are now much less common;

- Plasma TV, are composed of cells into which a mixture of gases, such as neon and xenon, are brought electrically to the state of plasma, that emanate ultraviolet radiation. A slab sensitive to ultraviolet rays turn them into images;

- LCD TV, work through the lamps that give off light in the display and due to the overlapping of the beams is generated image.

- LED TV, work by a strip of LEDs placed on both sides of the screen, radiating light and creates overlapping images.
