Stimulus construction sector through the buildings energy requalification

There is a chance that our country must grasp, it must do for its economy and for the environment, for the employment and also to stimulate the market. And 'This is the message choral emerged during a day entirely dedicated to upgrading the energy efficiency of existing buildings in which Italian companies and public administration were agreed on the need to take action on all fronts by the incentives to energy efficiency plan.

The first proposals for action were developed by the Working Tables 4E Existing Buildings Energy Efficiency coordinated by ENEA in the function of National Agency for Energy Efficiency, and they started the discussion about procedures and tools to encourage investment in the sector.

A commitment to pursue the path of energy efficiency means using the large energy potential of our buildings, or rather what our homes are ready to give back if we we make them efficient. A potential savings that is at hand thanks to technologies, materials and high efficiency systems which achieve the same comfort while using less energy.

Interview with Sergio Fabio Brivio, FINCO

"Today was a very interesting day because finally it comes to recover from the energy point of view our real estate portfolio that has the characteristics of spread on the ground and surface leakage that leads him to be very energy-intensive. This is a problem but it is also a great opportunity for our country, because the system can achieve expected savings of the order of 8000, up to 16,000 (GWh / year) gigawatt year, the equivalent of two nuclear power plants and the equivalent of a point of GDP growth. For a country that is not growing it is a big opportunity. "
